This year for my love’s birthday we decided to spend the weekend in London. Since Rob’s family comes from the UK I thought it would be a great way to celebrate. We spent one day outside of London (I will show you soon where!) and one day in the center of the city – in the beautiful Wellesley hotel in Knightsbridge.
As we planned to explore lots of different places in London, the location of the Wellesley hotel, right next to the Hyde Park corner station, was just perfect.
We stayed at the beautiful Charlie Chaplin suite that was decorated with the furniture pieces in my favorite pink color and had gorgeous views on the Hyde park. How I wish I could wake up with this view every day!
I also completely fell in love with the bathroom of our room made completely out of marble!
Before the Wellesley became a hotel in 2012 the building where it is located used to be the iconic jazz and cabaret venue called Pizza on the Park. Some people still to this day com back here to visit their favorite spot that they would visit many years ago.
At the bottom floor of the hotel you will find the Oval restaurant that specializes in authentic Italian cuisine. The decor of the restaurant in the Art Deco style and pink and blue tones is just stunning. If you love cigars, you can also visit the Cigar Terrace at the hotel that has the largest collection of cigars in Europe!
We loved staying at the Wellesley hotel as our stay felt intimate in this wonderful boutique hotel which was perfect for our special occasion. And just can we talk about how stunning the lobby are of the hotel is?
