Molecular ice cream in Amsterdam

Last week my friend told about the Glacier Fou molecular ice cream shop in the Stadsschouwburg building on Leidseplein in Amsterdam. It sounded so good that I had to try it myself as soon as possible. Last weekend Rob and I got to try the molecular ice cream from Glacier Fou for the first time and to be honest it is one of the best ice creams I have ever tried! I am not a big fan of ice cream, but this one has stolen my heart. We have chosen the banana ice cream with coconut flakes – my favorite ingredients and it was absolutely delicious. But the main secret of this place is the WAY they make their ice cream…

After you choose one of the yummiest tastes for your ice cream it will be instantly made in front of you with the help of liquid nitrogen! It is pretty amazing to watch and this way the ice cream texture is smooth and doesn’t contain any grainy ice crystals.
