I want to tell you about one of my favorite restaurants in Amsterdam. Located in the lively De Pijp area, Zaza’s has amazing food and the best service I have experienced in the Dutch capital. Every time I visit Zaza’s I realize again and again how good the quality of food is in this place. My all time favorites are the homemade ravioli, tuna tempura and the lemon tart with raspberries.
The owner of the place – Susie – is the most hospitable owner ever and makes your experience in her restaurant a real pleasure. Originally from Southern Ireland, Susie has been living in the Netherlands for already more than 15 years which she never expected or intended to do! After working in different cafes and restaurants in Amsterdam, in 2003 she finally opened her own place – Zaza’s. I must say that she succeeded to create a wonderful place with a warm atmosphere and delicious food. Susie works closely with her head chef Davy, who has been with her for the last 8 years, creating amazing dishes.
