France is one of my favorite countries to explore, because it is is so different and has so much to offer. One of my favorite regions in France is Alsace – I just love these typical colorful houses! I have already visited Strasbourg and Colmar and both cities are absolutely stunning, even though very different.
This time we decided to explore more of Alsace and visit a little town called Riquewihr. This town is officially named one of the most beautiful cities in France (Les Plus Beaux Villages de France). There is only one main street in Riquewihr, but how beautiful is it?! Here you can find cafes and restaurants, souvenir and delicacies shops, as well as the Feerie de Noel store, that is full of Christmas toys and is open ALL year long!
Apart from Riquewihr, there are also other cities worth visiting, that are situated a few kilometers away: Ribeauville, Kaysersberg, Eguisheim. These towns are located along the Alsatian Wine route and are surrounded by beautiful vineyards. If you love wine (Riesling is my favorite!) then you should definitely plan a trip to Alsace.
