Exploring the Black forest: Sasbachwalden

Last weekend Rob and I traveled to Baden-Baden to arrange some things for our wedding in September. We had some free time so I asked him to drive to my favorite village in the Black forest region called Sasbachwalden. We have been here once before and I really wanted to come back to this beautiful place. Sasbachwalden is actually a town, but it so small that I call it a village 🙂 There is actually one main street with all the pretty houses and the rest of the area is forest and vineyards. We had lunch in the lovely place  called Knusperhäuschen where we had local Riesling (my favorite!) and some delicious flammkuchen and other specialities of the area. There are a lot of pretty small towns and villages in Germany, but for me Sasbachwalden is the prettiest of all. I am just so amazed by the way, the people of Sasbachwalden decorate every single house in the city. Just have a look yourself!
