One day in Byron Bay, Australia

During our trip to Australia, we got explore some new amazing places. I have been dreaming to visit Byron Bay from the moment I found out about this magical place. One day we got up early in the morning to drive to Byron Bay from the Gold Coast which took around 1-1:30 hours to get there. The first thing we did was walk up to the famous Cape Byron lighthouse – the easternmost point of the mainland of Australia.

After the lighthouse we walked to the Bayleaf cafe on Marvell street to have brunch. I have seen a lot of this place on Instagram and other social media channels and it was just as I imagined and even better! I loved the authentic atmosphere at this place, the food made from the amazing fresh ingredients and of course the coffee. Definitely recommended!

Another reason I wanted to visit Byron Bay so much is to check out all the nice concept stores and boutiques located there such as Ahoy trader and Spell Boutique.

Some other spots to check out in Byron Bay are Naked treaties for some vegan raw food goodies, Espressohead for coffee lovers, FOLK and Harvest for some great local and organic food.

Before we headed back to the Gold Coast, we had a walk by the beach where we saw the incredible drawing on the sand. Later on I read on the internet that the local sand artist Craig Gasciogne creates this beautiful art on the beaches of Byron Bay for several years. How amazing is this? I have truly never seen anything like that.
