My top 6 spots in Melbourne

league2
During our trip to Australia, the first city we got to visit was Melbourne, famous for its coffee and food culture. My must-visit list for this city was endless and unfortunately I didn’t have time to check all the places out. However, I still got to visit some amazing places that I want to share with you today. If you ever visit the city of Melbourne, make sure to visit these spots and check my Pinterest Melbourne city guide for more spots in the city.
THE KETTLE BLACK
50 Albert Rd, South Melbourne VIC 3205

The Kettle Black was the place I was most excited to visit, especially because of all the amazing photos I found on Instagram. It is situated in the South of Melbourne in a gorgeous white Victorian building. The most famous dish at the Kettle Black are their ricotta pancakes  – a must-try!! P.S. One is enough for 4, don’t make our mistake 🙂

SHORT STOP MELBOURNE
12 Sutherland St, Melbourne VIC 3000

Donuts are not my favorite dessert, but I was really excited to visit Short Stop in Melbourne because of the unusual flavors of their donuts. We got (the last!) donut with Australian honey & sea salt and the Dark chocolate and mandarin cake donuts and both were really fresh and delicious.

INDUSTRY BEANS
3/62 Rose St, Fitzroy VIC 3065
I have heard a lot about the brunch at Industry Beans before visiting it and had very high expectations. I also was really interested to try their coffee, which turned out to be one of the best (and prettiest) coffees I have ever had in my life. Regarding the food, the brunch at Industry Beans was definitely the most sophisticated and unusual both in terms of the presentation and the flavours. We have tried the Coconut crusted brioche, the Truffled egg and other dishes from the Winter menu and were amazed by the quality of the food. Industry Beans is definitely the best place to stop for a coffee or brunch/lunch while exploring the Fitzroy area.

SENSORY LAB
297 Little Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000

Sensory Lab is located in the center of Melbourne on the famous Little Collins street and is probably in one of the best locations to grab a coffee and cake while wandering around the city. They roast and serve some great coffee and food and are definitely worth a visit!

THE LEAGUE OF HONEST COFFEE
8 Exploration Ln, Melbourne VIC 3000
The line to get coffee at the League of Honest Coffee was probably the longest I have seen in Melbourne, and once we tried it ourselves, I could easily understand why. We had a simple breakfast with some yogurt and granola and avocado toast and both were equally delicious. I really loved the location of this cafe – in a quiet street right in the middle of the busy city.
MARKET LANE COFFEE
8 Collins St, Melbourne VIC 3000

When thinking about our days in Melbourne, I feel like the highlight of the trip for me was the moment I got coffee in The Market Lane coffee shop with the famous “We love to make coffee for the city that loves to drink it” quote. I have been dreaming to visit this place since the day I saw the photos of it online and I couldn’t believe that my dream came true. I love traveling and seeing those place I have been dreaming to visit with my own eyes!
