De Luwte is one of my new favorite restaurants in Amsterdam and I am sad I only found out about it recently. Some time ago I met Iris – one of the most inspiring and motivating people I know – a beautiful mother, wonderful wife and a great entrepreneur. Together with her husband, Iris took over the De Luwte restaurant (that exists since 1986) in 2013 and gave it a new look. A couple of months ago Iris decided to change the look of De Luwte one more time and added some of her favorite details: lavender, pastel pillows, new cocktail bar and more. For me De Luwte is one of the cosiest restaurants in Amsterdam and is perfect for a romantic evening! It is located on one of Amsterdam’s canals in between the Jordaan area and the Dam square. Apart from the look and the atmosphere, De Luwte also has some great dishes to offer to the guests and the menu changes once in a while. If you are looking for somewhere cosy and romantic to spend an evening in Amsterdam, this is the place to go to!
