If you are visiting the Netherlands and what to see a little bit more of the country but not travel too far from Amsterdam, then I would definitely recommend visiting the beautiful city of Haarlem. Last time I went to Haarlem, I really wanted to check out the Portrait cafe and store, since I have seen a lot of beautiful photos of its interior on Instagram. This place was exactly the way I imagined it: white, clean, rustic and very unique. We had a delicious salad and cake for lunch and also tried their coffee which was great as well. I loved the selection of the items sold in Portrait: books, clothes, homeware etc. What I know for sure is that I will be coming back very soon!
