A few weeks ago we went on a weekend trip to Switzerland. This time we decided to explore the cities on the Lake Geneva and visited Geneva, Lausanne and Vevey. One of the highlights of the trip was our stay at the Lausanne Palace hotel. It is located in the center of Lausanne (I actually thought that the center is near the lake), nearby all the stores and the old town of Lausanne. Because the hotel is situated on top of the hill, it offers a magnificent view on the Lake Geneva and the city.

В этот раз мы решили посетить несколько городов, расположенных на Женевском озере – начать наше путешествие в Женевы и затем съездить в Лазанну и Веве. Сегодня я хочу рассказать вам об отеле, в котором мы остановились в Лазанне. Отель Lausanne Palace находится на возвышенности, в самом центре города (изначально я думала, что центр города в Лазанне – у озера). Именно поэтому из отеля открывается потрясающий вид на Женевское озеро!

The first thing that amazed us upon arrival was the beautiful flower decoration of the hotel that reminded me of the Plaza Athenee hotel in Paris.
Первое, что бросается в глаза гостей отеля по прибытию, невероятной красоты оформление отеля, которое немного напомнило мне отель Plaza Athenee в Париже.

We were very lucky to have the chance to visit some of the other rooms of the hotel – one of which was the suite where Coco Chanel used to stay during her trips to Lausanne. The room was called after its famous guest.
По моей просьбе нам показали несколько особенных номеров отеля. Один из них – номер, в котором раньше останавливалась Коко Шанель во время поездок в Лазанну, назван в честь нее. Вот такой потрясающий вид открывается с просторной террасы этого номера.

During our stay we have decided to visit the Sushi Zen restaurant located in the hotel. We love Japanese cuisine and were happy to try some interesting sushi combinations such as tuna and foie-gras.
В один из вечеров, по рекомендации персонала, мы решили посетить японский ресторан, расположенный в отеле. Мы очень любим японскую кухню и даже в Швейцарии с удовольствием попробовали необычные суши, например, с фуа гра и тунцом.

Apart from the Japanese restaurant, there are three more restaurants at the Lausanne Palace hotel. One of them – La Table D’Edgard – has been awarded a Michelin star for its exceptional cuisine. The guests of this gastronomic restaurant can enjoy the view into the kitchen and observe the chefs during the dinner.
Our stay at the Lausanne Palace was truly magical. We loved spending time in our room and sitting by the window and observing the sun set in between the mountains over the lake. Hope to come back to this beautiful country soon! You can watch the video from our trip on my Youtube channel here.
