A few weeks ago we have chosen the Hague as the city to explore during the weekend. I have been to the Hague many times before for different occasions but this time we have decided to stay there for one night to see more of this beautiful city. The Hague is situated in the province of South Holland, close to the North sea shore and is the city where the Dutch government and parliament is seated. Follow us along and discover what this gorgeous city has to offer!

Я много раз была в Гааге по разным причинам, но по-моему, чтобы лучше прочувствовать город, в нем нужно остаться хотя бы на один день. Гаага находится в провинции Южная Голландия, у берега Северного моря и именно здесь находится парламент Голландии. Итак, сегодня я рассказываю о том, что стоит посмотреть в Гааге и чем прекрасен этот город.
During our stay in the Hague we got to experience the beautiful Hotel des Indes. The hotel was initially built as a town palace and opened its doors as a luxurious hotel in 1881. The guest list of the hotel includes such names as Mata Hari, Anna Pavlova and other famous people. During the Second World War the hotel was occupied by the Germans while the Jews were hiding there at the same time. The history of the hotel is very rich which feels in the atmosphere, from the moment you first walk into the main entrance.
Мы остановились в отеле Des Indes – одном из самых красивых и необычных отелей, где я когда либо останавливалась. Здесь все пропитано многолетней историей, так, например, именно в этом отеле остановился Гитлер в 1941 году во время оккупации Голландии.

On our first evening in the Hague we have visited an amazing restaurant, really one of the best I have ever visited. Restaurant Hanting is a Michelin-star awarded restaurant with a mixture of French and chinese cuisines. What is great about the dinner is it didn’t come out expensive at all, even though the food was amazing.
После размещения в отеле мы отправились ужинать в ресторан HanTing, который оказался просто невероятно вкусным! В ресторане HanTing сочетается французская и китайская кухни, что делает каждое блюдо особенным и необычным. У ресторана есть одна звезда Мишлен, однако цена на меню абсолютно приемлемые, например 57 евро за меню из 5(!!!) блюд. Если вы окажетесь в Гааге, то я очень советую вам посетить этот отличный ресторан.

After the dinner, we went to have a drink at the SPARK bar in the Hilton hotel. It was a rainy evening so it felt very cosy to sit inside by the water and have a nice cocktail.
После ужина мы немного прогулялись по городу и дошли до отеля Hilton, в котором находится бар SPARK и решили выпить по коктейлю. На улице шел дождь и мы очень уютно устроились у окна с видом на канал.
The next morning we started our day by having breakfast at the hotel. This was probably one of the most beautiful breakfast locations I have ever seen in a hotel. We felt like on the set of some movie.
Следующее наше утро началось с завтрака в отеле Des Indes. Помещение, в котором гостям подают завтрак поражает своей роскошью и мне казалось, что мы находимся на съемках какого-то старого фильма. Зал был украшен невероятной красоты букетами, а с потолка свисала огромная роскошная люстра.

After breakfast we had a walk through the city to the best coffee place in town – Lola bikes and coffee! We fell in love with this place! They serve great coffee and desserts and the back of the cafe is a bicycle shop. There are also a lot of nice books about cycling etc sold at the back of the store along with many cycling accessories – heaven for bike nerds!
Хоть завтрак был и отличным, но за кофе мы все-таки отправились в город. Одна из лучших кофеен Гааги – Lola Bikes and Coffee совмещена с магазином велосипедов! Это идеальное место для любителей двухколесного транспорта, а также для сладкоежек типа меня, тк здесь готовят очень вкусную выпечку!

One of the most popular tourist destinations in the Hague is the Passage shopping centre located right next to the Binnenhof. Inside the gallery you will find a lot of shops, cafes and even a hotel.
Одно из самых популярных среди туристов мест в Гааге – торговая галерея Passage, которая нахолится недалеко от здания парламента в самом центре города. Здесь находятся многочисленные магазины, кафе и даже отель.

One of my favorite shops in the Passage is the Hop & Stork chocolate store. I love their huge chunks of chocolate – my favorite ones are the ones with berries and almonds.
Мой самый любимый магазин в галерее Passage – бутик шоколада Hop & Stork, где можно купить целый кусок шоколада различных видов! Мой фаворит – белый шоколад с ягодами и горький с миндалем. Даже не самый большой любитель шоколада как я не может пройти мимо такой витрины.

For lunch we went to a very nice cafe called Bloem, not far from the central station of the Hague. Just look at the size of my blueberry pancakes! They were delicious!
После прогулки по центру города, мы пообедали в кафе Bloem, расположенном неподалеку от центрального вокзала Гааги. С погодой нам в тот день повезло и мы выбрали столик на улице! Мы заказали оладья с голубикой, которые оказались просто огромными, но в то же время и очень сочными и вкусными.
The Hague is a very beautiful city of the Netherlands which is definitely worth visiting. I still have to discover the Scheveningen beach which I have never visited, but that is supposed to be a great place to see! Have you been to the Hague? Let me know what you thought about this city!
