Not far from Innsbruck, in a small town of Wattens the famous Swarovski company was founded in 1985. Here in Wattens, the main museum of the austrian crystal manufacturer is situated. The entrance to the museum is guarded by the huge head of the giant with the waterfall erupting from its mouth during the whole year. The museum itself looks like an underground maze, filled with the lights created by multicolored crystals and unusual sounds. Every room is different from the others. The room that amazed me the most was the Crystal Dome – the cupola of 590 mirrors, reflecting in one another and being iridescent. Swarovski museum is full of miracles: a giant jellyfish, covered with dazzling lights and changing its color, reflections of the stones on the floor, emerging from your steps, dancing together the sun and the moon and even unusual flowers opening their beautiful buds in turns. I hope that my pictures from this museum will somehow transmit its beauty to you.
P.S. At the end of the museum you will find the biggest Swarovski shop you can imagine. Here I found such jewelry items that I have never seen in any of Swarovski shops around the world! For this reason I spent much longer time in the shop then in the museum itself π
